“Better to spend one moment in Satsang than a lifetime lost in the world.”
What is a Satsang?

A Gathering in Truth
Satsang is more than just a meeting—it is a gathering in truth, a space where we come together in love, devotion, and shared spiritual inquiry. The word Satsang comes from Sanskrit:
- Sat – truth, existence, that which is unchanging
- Sangha – community, association, company
At its heart, Satsang is the practice of being in the presence of truth, whether through shared silence, spiritual discussion, chanting, or simply sitting together in love. Being together in this way is to remember who we truly are, supporting each other on the path of awakening.
What Happens in a Satsang?
While each gathering may be different, a typical Satsang includes:
- Meditation & Reflection – Sitting together in stillness, grounding into presence.
- Chanting & Kirtan – Singing sacred names and mantras to open the heart.
- Spiritual Teachings & Discussion – Exploring wisdom from Neem Karoli Baba, Ram Dass, and other sacred traditions.
- Community Connection – Sharing space, stories, and support with like-hearted seekers.
Satsang is not about dogma or doctrine—it is about showing up, being present, and remembering love.

Why Join a Satsang?
In the company of spiritual friends, we are reminded of the truth we so easily forget in daily life. Satsang offers:
- A supportive community for your spiritual path.
- A space to open the heart through chanting and reflection.
- A way to strengthen devotion and deepen your connection to love.
As Neem Karoli Baba often reminded us, “Love is the strongest medicine.” Satsang is a way of bringing that love into our daily lives, together.
